Two stops too dark
Shot in shadow, blacks crushing. Detail seemingly gone.
Grey in. Cinema out.
FrameCraft measures your flat log footage, fixes it, then drops one of 40+ looks measured from real cinema frames — right inside DaVinci Resolve. No LUT that breaks on your light. No colorist required.
Your camera is in here
Pick your brand, done — FrameCraft does the color math. Shoot log and it just works. And if you don't: Rec.709 and HLG are in here too.
You know the feeling
A LUT is a fixed table. It knows nothing about your image, your light, your exposure. So it breaks on exactly the footage that needs saving.
FrameCraft does it the other way around:
measure first, then grade.
FrameCraft measures your footage first — white balance, exposure, how bright the scene should really be — then lays the look on to fit. One node. Four steps. Done.
Auto-Rescue
Too dark, green, blown out — no LUT on earth saves that, because a LUT doesn't know your image. FrameCraft measures what went wrong first, corrects it, then puts the look on top. One click on Analyze hero frame and watch. Skip the sliders — one click and your shot is neutral.
Shot in shadow, blacks crushing. Detail seemingly gone.
Wrong white balance under artificial light. Skin goes sickly.
Highlights slammed to white. Looks like it's lost.
The difference
One click measures white balance and exposure, then locks them for the whole clip — no flicker. Click each of two clips from the same shoot and they land on the same target. Your reel stops jumping.
40+ curated looks

Neutral defaults: dropping FrameCraft on a clip changes nothing at first. Every effect is opt-in — you build the look up, it's never forced on you.
This is how you drive it
The difference
Most LUT packs are the gut feeling of one person who turned sliders until it "looked good".
FrameCraft works differently. Every look is measured from over 150,000 frames of real productions — not "inspired by": the actual color distribution of real films, ads and music videos, computed and distilled into a grade.
A normal LUT tool drags a night scene up to mid-grey. FrameCraft knows night is allowed to be dark, and lets it stay night.
Exposure matches across clips: the same frame at −1.5 / 0 / +1.5 stops lands within ±0.08 % in the frame center after the hero-frame correction.
Night stays night: synthetic night scene, correction under 0.25 EV instead of a +2.0 EV rip-up.
Colors converted correctly: for iPhone Apple Log, Sony, Panasonic, Canon, ARRI and 17 more cameras — the real color conversion from published manufacturer primaries, not just a tweak on the luminance curve.
One click reads white balance and exposure from a typical frame, then holds them for the whole clip. That's the "measure" that a LUT can't do.
Nobody else in this class does this
FrameCraft finds the sky, the skin, the background — automatically — and grades them separately. Darken the sky, protect the skin, cool the background, all masked and tracked across the whole clip.
It runs locally on your Mac. No Python. No cloud. No upload, no wait. In Resolve this would be a power window plus a tracker plus a node — 20 minutes of colorist work. Here it's automatic.
This is the one thing no LUT pack in the world can do: it tells apart the sky and the person, and treats them differently.

Runs on Apple's Neural Engine, ~23 ms per frame, entirely on-device. This is what a colorist does by hand with power windows — automatic here.
From grey to finished
Drop FrameCraft on the clip, pick your camera brand — iPhone, Sony, Lumix, doesn't matter. FrameCraft converts the color correctly, not just the luminance curve.

Category up top (Film / Ad / Music video), look below. The image jumps into the mood instantly. The first pick often already sits.
Intensity, tone, color density, skin protection. And if you want: diffusion, halation, vignette, grain, sharpness. All opt-in, all reversible.
The bonus
That soft, expensive "shot-on-film" glow around the highlights — you'd normally only get it with a 200 € diffusion filter in front of the lens (and then it's baked in forever). Here it's a slider you can dial back to zero.
